ABOUT CHRIS

AVP, Commercial Title Officer Chris Maziar brings an impressive 37 years of experience in the title industry to Commonwealth Land Title Company. Prior to his current position, Chris held other positions such as a title plant supervisor, title operations manager, examiner, sales and customer service.

As a Title Officer with an extensive background in commercial and industrial title searching and examining, he makes underwriting decisions and resolves challenges with items that may cloud title. Chris often foresees potential issues and presents ways in which to remedy them with little or no additional cost or time to the client.
With almost four decades of experience, Chris has gained a thorough background in the industry, and is well equipped to provide in-depth insight to his clients in every step of the title process. Notable closings include:  Riverside County multi-site bond financing, Disneyland expansion, Cal Trans Freeway Widening Project, Gestamp Solar Project in Blythe, SCE Edison Project, and SDGE (Sempra) Project.

His clients describe him as courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. He believes in responding in a timely manner and providing them with current and accurate information. His work philosophy is to “getting back to customers with answers to their questions as quickly as possible and putting people together who can provide answers.” It is for this reason that he has repeat clients as well as referrals.

Chris has been a speaker multiple times to both Chapter 57 and Chapter 67 of the International Right of Way Association and he has been a keynote speaker at Chapter 57’s ROW symposium. He stays current with industry knowledge by attending various ALTA seminars on topics such as bankruptcy, foreclosures, and probates.

Chris is a native of California, growing up in Claremont and Upland. He happily lives with his three dogs in Apple Valley, California, was a former baseball player, coach  and Scouted with “then” Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates; was President of the Southern California Baseball Association in the 1990’s and Pacific Collegiate Summer League Founder,  and in his spare time, he enjoys baseball games, writing, landscaping and consulting struggling business owners.
